He was sold as a “herd marker” for a herd of Black Angus in Ennis, Montana. The purpose of a herd marker is to remain with the herd while being visually distinct from the surrounding cattle, providing an easy and reliable way to identify the group from a distance. This is a long‑standing, traditional practice that we value and enjoy being part of.
